The DUDE is located in the Mitte Neighborhood of Berlin. Intimate and private are two words which characterize this property, with under 30 rooms, it’s one of the smallest boutique hotels in Berlin, and this exclusivity is something which the hotel focuses on providing to its guests. Exclusivity doesn’t come at the expense of value, with rooms at The DUDE starting at less than 100 Euro per night, nor style: set in a converted townhouse, The DUDE is oozing with character.
A converted mansion-house in Mitte dating to 1822, The DUDE is one of the oldest buildings in central Berlin, and, in contrast to the many minimalistic boutique hotels in Berlin, it is full of character, taking advantage of its architecture, to create a colorful and pompous, yet friendly, and family-like, atmosphere. Privacy is at the heart of The DUDE’s philosophy, with a ‘closed door policy’ for non-guests, allowing hotel guests to take advantage of the rooms and salons of this fine building, in private.
With only 27 rooms, The DUDE is small and intimate. Each room is somehow unique, yet all feature luxurious comforts, such as Nespresso machines and high quality cosmetics, as well as complementary wine for all guests. The DUDE has five types of room, from single through to suites, all of which also provide free wifi internet, and all can take advantage of 24 hour room service.
Despite its smaller size, The DUDE still offers guests a great range of facilities, including a mini-gym and cigar lounge. The hotel restaurant, Brooklyn Beef Club, is considered to be among the best in Berlin, famous for its meat, whilst breakfast is also served in house, a la carte, by the hotel’s chefs.
The DUDE is located in the heart of Mitte, minutes from the East Side Gallery and Berlinder Dom, whilst the Tiergarten, Jewish Museum, Brandenberg Gate, Reichstag, and Alexanderplatz are an easy walk away.
